Here is one thing you need to understand: As happy as I am and I try to be, I have my hang ups. No not the emotional kind, that haunts you and you raise your children in the shadow of, these are a bit more simple.
Hang up#1
The two point plug – Not having enough double adaptors to keep everything running is something that drives me crazy.
Hang up #2
The kettle that does not automatically switch off – Now this is a memory I could do without - running for the kettle that does not switch off by itself.
Hang up #3
Living without a lamp – This is something I would not be able to live without, a bed side lamp. Weird but something so simple just makes my life so much easier.
Hang up #4
Not having my own washing lines – I grew up in the same house, with the same backyard and the same washing lines all my life. So you can imagine that for me not having something so basic, something you need more than once a week is an absolute nightmare. I now have a railing which I set up on the balcony, but not without a gigantic sigh.
So on the odd occasion I might think I am perfect, it just takes a kettle or plug to throw me off my game.
We all have our little issues in life - hence our uniqueness. Luckily yours are small in comparisson to Monk's. Now there is an interesting case- and if I remember correctly, in a previous blog earlier this year, you alluded to similarities with him.
