So on a scale of one to ten I would say the average person lies to himself/herself about ten times a day. Yes keep telling yourself you don't have to lose weight, keep telling yourself that the fears you held as a child about someone leaving you is not there. Keep lying...
And the fact that we believe that our lies will never catch us up is the biggest lie we tell ourselves. Because it will and you will have someone like me breathing those dreaded words in your ear "I told you so."
At the end of the day no matter who you lose, you will always be stuck with yourself. And if you think of it in that way, would you lie to someone you will have to face everyday of your life?
To be happy with yourself you need to be true to yourself. Even if the truth is not pretty it is something you need to tell yourself. Lying to yourself is the worse idea I have ever heard of.
In my opinion lie to the world, they may not care to enough to want to know the truth but be honest with yourself. Break it down and be realistic. Unless you want to end up being one of those people that feel completely alone in a crowded room, tell yourself the truth.
Good read. It is always best to stay true oneself . Lies, whether white ones or whippers, can have more negative than positive consequences
ReplyDeleteWe lie to ourselves everyday, you're right. Tackling those lies head on is the key to getting over whatever issue was bothering us in the first place.
