Starting in the morning, we have to pick out an outfit that is suitable for work. It has to be professional, and not flashy- so we can be taken seriously. We have to keep our heels on the entire day and make sure our panty hose doesn’t snag on anything. Also we have to keep lipstick on the lips and off the teeth.
Now we get to the office. We have to resolve work disputes, get all our work done and remain lady like and polite no matter how much your co-workers may piss you off. And then my personal favourite, we have to think of things that everyone else will forget- toilet paper for the office and thank you cards are the thorns in my stilettos.
And once we get home the real jobs start. Kids or no kids, married or single there are some things that we all have to do: Keep the house clean, keep your cupboard organised, feed all animals, water the plants, keep a system of all accounts that need to be paid, make sure there is something more than cheese in the fridge, change light bulbs, kill spiders and make sure that you have at least one cocktail dress that is not in the washing machine.
Although my list has over a hundred of these things, my fellow bloggers may not appreciate a 600 word piece. So the next time you feel guilty for buying another pair of shoes or taking a bubble bath- don’t! You deserve every moment of pampering yourself before you have to do the other 100 things in your day.
Wow, you have not even all the things women do on a daily basis - and already the list is exhaustive. Women are miracle workers : effortlessly combining homework, motherhood, office work and hobbies. Doing all this with a smile and still managing to look stunningly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBut i still wouldn't change a thing to be a man. All that hair and peeing while standing up..... then I'd rather do the washing and scrub the floors with a smile on my face!
